About the tour

This beautiful park of Barcelona, loved both by locals and visitors was once part of the Ribera-Born districts. A section of these neighbourhoods, partially destroyed in the XVIII century became a fortress, despised by the inhabitants of the city. The citadel was later demolished and the park was born to stay...and became the site of a Universal Fair in 1888. Join me in this healthy and charming walk as we start by the colorful and elegant Arch of Triumph, gate to that famous Fair. We walk the beautiful boulevard that gives access to the park and we’ll see the remaining buildings from the Exhibition and others from different times of its history, also the lake, and we’ll finish by the imposing fountain partially designed and built by the famous Gaudí, among other architects.
