About the tour

Take a stroll with me as we explore the history and folklore of Ballachulish. Nestled on the west coast a short mile from the infamous Glencoe, Ballachulish has a long and interesting story. From Viking invaders, fire breathing dragons and witches curses to Jacobite insurrection, centuries of empire building industry and a heavy dose of injustice - Ballachulish has a story for everyone! And the views aren't bad, either.

Meet Craig

Craig

Craig lives in Ballachulish, on the west coast of Scotland. He can be found exploring the mountains and glens, hill walking or mountain biking. He loves Scotland’s wild places, its rugged coastlines and soaring peaks. But his real passion lies in the long, intricate and often bloody history for which Scotland is famous and he loves nothing more than sharing this passion with all who join him on his travels. Loaded with stories – both humorous and fascinating – a tour with Craig is both rewarding and fun.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to The Scottish Highlands with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

Craig is a knowledgable and welcoming guide of the Scottish Highlands. He shared interesting information about the local plants we saw and the history of the region (recent plus ancient history). He showed us picture-postcard view, too. What a delightful way to spend an hour. Thank you.

Enjoyed it very much. I live in next village, Kinlochleven. My son and daughter live in Ballachulish. I am admin on a Facebook page we have set up for Kinlochleven called Kinlochleven Past And Present. It is busy and we have many members. I have posted some photos of Craig's climb of the Pap and last night's tour of Ballachulish. Perhaps Craig might consider doing a tour of Kinlochleven. The village is steeped in history and has many beautiful views.
