What is the story of 13 Armenian Orthodox churches in the heart of islamic town like Isfahan? There are a group of Armenians living in Iran from 16th century. "Jolfa" is a name of the region the Armenians live in Isfahan. In this tour we are going to visit the most beautiful church in Iran, called "Vank". The architecture of the church is highly influenced by islamic architecture of Iran. there is a dome like a mosque in the main paraying hall, fresqued finely with the stories of the old and new testament. This church was constructed by the order of Safavid king of Iran when Armenians moved to this town . There is also a small museum in the courtyard where we can see an antique properties of the church.
