About the tour

Originating from Amatrice, a town near Rome, Amatriciana is one of the best-known pasta sauces in Roman and Italian cuisine. Gricia or "white amatriciana" was commonly cooked by shepherds of the area around Grisciano, also located in the Lazio region. Does Amatriciana come from gricia or is it the other way around? Is it spaghetti, bucatini or rigatoni? And is it “amatriciana” or “matriciana”? Make sure to book this cooking tutorial where Micky and Adry will dispel any doubts about it and teach you how to cook these classic Italian recipes. For these recipes, all the phases will be shown along the tour. For the process make sure to join the tour on time since each step will be explained live! Rigatoni or Bucatini (1/4 lbs) - 40 gr. cheek lard/guanciale (1.40 US OZ) - 100 gr. peeled tomatoes  (0.5 US cups) - 20 gr. pecorino romano cheese (4 tbsp) - 1/2 glass White wine - Salt to taste - Hot pepper to taste INGREDIENTS for GRICIA (for 1 person) - 100 gr. Micky & Adry

Adriano is an English and Spanish teacher and has Italian/Argentine heritage. He has been a TV host for a cooking show and he's an actor as well. Michela is a dancer/choreographer, singer and performer. She is also a craft projects ninja and she comes from a family of opera singers. Longstanding friends for 20 years now, the pair met at high school and have shared a love for languages and travel ever since! They are looking forward to welcoming you to Rome and showing you not only the sights but what it's like to be a local in this fabulous city!


What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Rome with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 40 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Rome. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
