The Union Station in Los Angeles has not shied away from the spotlight! The 93rd Academy Awards were held here recently, and the station is popularly known as one of the most luxurious train stations in the United States. Its impressive architecture is one you cannot miss. On this virtual tour, Linda will take you on a lovely trip through Union Station, a glorious example of Mission Moderne architecture. It's one of L.A.'s architectural gems. You will learn of its impressive history while oohing and ahhing at the colorful tile work, architectural details, marble, and original furnishings that make Union Station so uniquely Californian. Linda's 30-minute guided virtual tour will give you a sense of what traveling may have been like in the ’30s and ’40s when train travel was still incredibly popular.
Linda is unabashedly in love with California. Born and raised in Southern California, she and her husband moved to Los Angeles when she was just a young slip of a thing. She immediately embraced all that LA had to offer from tacos to waterfalls and everything in between, including the golden glow of the entertainment industry that permeates everything and everywhere. Her tours are like her, spontaneous and joyful with a very large dose of curiosity. They include a little bit of everything: history, architecture, culture, food, art, and the natural world that exists amidst the urban sprawl. This crazy mix of cultures and its people is what makes LA so wonderfully unique! If you join her on one of her adventures, be ready for a lovely time, and maybe a little musical outburst. Or two. She can't help it.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Los Angeles with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Los Angeles. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
