About the tour

Aker Brygge is a stunning waterfront community where every turn gives new impressive views of architecture and the waterfront. Join our guide and stroll through a lovely mixture of residences, shops, restaurants, canals, and small bridges. The city planners' decision to embrace modern Scandinavian design and art resulted in a beautiful new part of the Norwegian capital. Your host for this tour is Olav, a local history student. He will take you on an exciting tour of Oslo, giving a window into the ever-changing land of Norway and its culture.

Thank you for sharing Oslo’s history of the waterfront area. As a Norwegian American I’m very interested in this history. My GG Gf immigrated in 1869 to the US. My father spoke only Norwegian until after he attended public school in Decorah Iowa. Thank you

Excellent, seamless presentation. I loved the guide's relaxed style and command of information, presented so smoothly. He piqued my interest to see Oslo and Norway and to learn more. Thanks very much for a lovely start to my day here in Chicago.

Very knowledgeable and engaging. Needs to pause camera more often and longer for postcards.
