About the tour

Join me for a relaxing walk in the park. We will be traveling to the lovely Cabinteely Park which is a suburban park in south county Dublin and originally the garden of an old manor house which we will get up close to for some wonderful views out over the surrounding landscape. We will pass a tiny waterfall and lazy stream that meanders through the middle of the grounds. Join me as we pass a modern playground, grassy meadows and a small forest. Along the paths are a number of sculptures by various artists as well as plenty of beautiful plants and flowers.

Meet Hazel

Hazel loves exploring and regaling people with stories and giving a glimpse into the city known for its love of cheeky rhymes and ballads. Her background is in the travel and tourism industry in Ireland, and she has juggled roles ranging from tutor to travel agent. Travelling has always been in her blood. Hazel’s grandfather was a driver-guide, and her interest in becoming a guide started almost a decade ago when she took a group of excited students on a walking tour of Dublin, captivating them with the city’s culture. Since then, there has been no turning back. With her tours, you might find yourself mingling with the locals, who love to get involved with the tour! With a dash of surprise, Hazel loves entertaining people with fun stories and experiences. “An unforgettable experience that I had was when myself and a friend got chatting with a well-known Irish author and we ended up back at his house cooking spaghetti Bolognese!” she says. She is the owner of Virtually Irish, a new and exciting venture showcasing the best of what Ireland has to offer.
