The Royal Palace was the place to be in the seventeen and eighteen hundreds and we're about to see why! Not only is it an impressive building, but Florent will show us the magnificent and hidden gardens where the royals used to hide away from the common folk. What marks a royal lifestyle, and now a modern one, better than shopping? We'll see where the concept of modern shopping and restaurants was invented by walking through the ornate and architecturally marvellous Galerie Vivienne. The gallery is one of the last opened, covered passages and we'll see why it's authentically Parisian. We have it on good authority that you will also get to see some extremely large wine bottles!
It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.
Florent has been guiding since Aug 2010
Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Paris with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Paris. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

What a glorious way to visit Paris again with Flo in these unprecedented times! Flo's photographer's eye captures the beauty of Springtime burgeoning leaves against the Seine, as well as the exquisite architectural details. It is, as always, a pleasure to hear the deeply researched history simplified for those of us, who no longer can visit or live in France, Your photographs of interiors show what cannot be seen now! Thank you again, Flo and Virtual Trips, for keeping France alive for us and for keeping walks in "Par(ad)is" possible.
