Walk the streets where artistry has always been, both traditional and revolutionary make way. A mixture of boldly coloured accents in architecture and handicrafts along elemental lava facades and cobblestone stone streets.

A wonderful, fun tour walking through the bohemian neighbourhood of Coyoacán, Mexico City. Nathaly's enthusiasm and chuckles peppered the tour, with never a dull moment. Beautiful, colourful mural art and artisanal craft souvenirs, cantinas and modern barrios exist side by side on these cobbled streets that seamlessly blend the modern and the historic. From coyote fountains and sculptures to Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) themed establishments, It was a neverending feast for the eyes as well as our virtual stomachs looking at all the yummy offerings at the endless taquerias (al pastor!) lining the streets, complete with faded colourful striped awnings and vintage gum vending machines. With a street barrel organ player (sans monkey) providing the diegetic soundtrack, it soon began to feel like we were in some sort of a dream-like, stream-of-consciousness Fellini film – a living present that celebrates a Bohemian carnivalesque.
