About the tour

All together are part of this special Saxon village where the largest Saxon community comparing to any other village in whole Transylvania region still exist. The village is also unique for being the only one where the Saxons still have their Sunday religious service since 14th century and you will discover the reason during the tour. The inside of the 14th century Fortified Church is considered to be a treasure for Transylvania due to the still very vivid fresco from 15th century. How did it survive and it was so well preserved, when most, if not all of the other Saxons' churches & cathedrals were plastered white after the 16th century Reform is also something to be discovered during the tour.

Love Mihais tours - and this one did not fail my expectations. Beautiful manor, very old church where he showed us pictures of the interior since we could not enter and finally my favorite part - visiting a lady in her home, watching her weave and seeing her amazing rugs and table clothes. Thanks for including locals in your tours, Mihai - always makes them special.

Excellent guide. His explanations of both historical events and present day life were easy to understand. Signal was a bit marginal at times, but not in his control. Definitely enjoyed tour and learned more about an area I knew nothing about until a few days ago.

Mihal always makes his tours most interesting with bringing in a local to show off their skills. He is good at setting up postcards too. I always learn so much on his trips.
