Ushuaia is known as the city at the End of the world and it holds many interesting stories of natives, missionaries and explorers. It’s located between the Andes mountain range and in front of the well-known Beagle Channel, a natural crossing between the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. Discovered by captain Fitz Roy, it’s home to incredible wildlife including penguins. During this virtual tour we will walk along Ushuaia’s promenade as we enjoy views of the port and the Beagle Channel. We will learn about the importance of this region related to Antarctica and the exploration of Cape Horn and we will share stories of shipwrecks, missionaries, natives and explorers such as Fitz Roy and Magellan! Join me and let me tell you all about this unique city!

What a wonderful tour with Barbara to Ushuaia, don’t miss it! Her knowledge of the port and the shipping stops that occur on the way to the Antarctica is amazing. Ushuaia offers wonderful scenery, both in the city and across the ocean. Barbara plodded on through slush and snow, and braved the icy cold to give us a realistic experience from the comfort of our warm rooms. I recommend you walk around Ushuaia with Barbara. She’ll even tell you why the name of the city is spelled like it is!
