Memento Park: One-off visit to Budapest's Time Capsule of Communism
This episode of the Budapest Limited Series tour takes you to one of Budapest's unique attractions, the Memento Park!
During this roughly 60 minutes long live, virtual walking tour Adam will introduce you to some parts of the Memento Park, which as per the museum's own definition is "Central-Europe's first thematic museum that reminds people of a dictatorship and its fall"
Kindly note that the agreement between Adam and the Memento Park prevents him from showing the entire museum, however, he can still show Stalin's Grandstand, some of the 41 statues of the park and you get to see an original people's car, a Trabant! Consider this tour as a teaser of the Memento Park experience!
The setting is perfect to discuss certain matters of the Soviet-type dictatorship that Hungary turned into after WWII, the 1956 revolution, and how Hungary became known as the happiest barracks of the Eastern bloc.
