Paris by Night: the Louvre Palace and the Seine River
Let’s discover the beauty of the Louvre Palace and the Seine river once night has fallen!
Built next to the Seine River, the Louvre Palace, home to the most visited museum in the world, has been the residence of the French kings for more than 300 years. Seeing the magnificent building lit up at night is truly magical especially when we visit its oldest part, the square courtyard!
With its stunning Pyramid built-in 1989, the Louvre truly witnesses what could be a good definition of Paris’ buildings: a mix between old and new architecture!
We will then follow the Seine River until the heart of Paris: the Cité Island and the Notre Dame Cathedral. On the way, we will see the former kings residence of La Conciergerie as well as Paris’ oldest bridge: the Pont Neuf.
All these monuments are lit up at night and really show us why Paris’ nickname is the City of Light!
