Salvador Part 1: Brazilian First Capital and UNESCO Creative Musical City
Bahia is one of the most authentic places in Brazil, considered the most Afrikan City in Brazil and with a fantastic Old Town (UNESCO human heritage site).
We are also very musical, Paul Simon has been here in the 1980’s to feel the beat of Samba Reggae and also Michael Jackson and Spike Lee in 1996, to release the videoclip “ They Don’t care about us”.
In this first part of the walking hoje we will see the view of Elevador Lacerda, the birthplace of Brazil, as a colony of Portugal and view of the Second Biggest bay of the world. We will walk with the views of the Old Town and possible we will meet live music and also a beautiful “baiana” to take pictures and postcards.
I recommend that you also book Salvador part 2, that we will see more of the Old Town and Largo do Pelourinho + talk more about Black History in Brazil.
I am very proud to be Baiana and Let’s go to Bahia?
