Charlottenburg - Flavour of the Old West Berlin
Few Berlin districts manage to encapsulate the flavor and the essence of the "old West Berlin". It's not so much that Charlottenburg hasn't changed -because it has - but it's about the many things and institutions that haven't, and which have remained an integral part of the city, among them the Delphi Theatre, the theatre formerly known as the Theatre of the West, the world-famous Paris Bar and, of course, the Emperor William Memorial Church. But on top of these Berlin mainstays, there are quite a few interesting additions, such as the Helmut Newton Foundation, the C/O Gallery, or the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Come and join me on this 50min trip which takes you back in time and straight into the present!
