Morgan Tarpley Smith is an avid world traveler and an award-winning journalist and photographer. She has lived in small-town Louisiana nearly all her life and believes it is not always the size of a place that packs a punch.
In her tours of her birthplace, historic Natchez, the jewel of the Mississippi River, she will showcase why this small city, founded in 1716 (two years before New Orleans) has gained an international reputation for its charming people, intriguing history, stunning architecture, and of course, the incredible food! (She also has Louisiana tours in the works, so stay tuned!)
Besides her love of history and travel, Morgan also loves to write. She is an author of both non-fiction for writers and fiction for children under the pen name, M.L. Tarpley. Her other interests include hanging out at coffee shops, listening to records, researching genealogy, and going on adventures with her family in Louisiana and beyond. She hopes to travel alongside you soon!
